Marriage/Relationship Preparation Programme
Building a Foundation for a Lifetime of Love
Deciding to spend your lives together is one of the most significant choices you will ever make. While much of the wedding journey focuses on a single day, our 3-hour Relationship and Marriage Preparation program focuses on the decades that follow.
In this private, one-on-one intensive, you aren't just checking a box; you are building a customized roadmap for your unique partnership. Working with an experienced Couples Therapist provides a safe, neutral space to explore the nuances of your relationship that often get overlooked in the "honeymoon phase."
Why this matters for you:
Proactive Resilience: Every couple has "blind spots." We help you identify yours early, turning potential future roadblocks into opportunities for growth.
The Art of Connection: You will learn how to maintain your individual identities while building a "third entity"—the marriage itself.
Mastering Conflict: Conflict is inevitable, but combat is optional. We teach you the specific communication tools needed to navigate disagreements with respect and empathy.
A Milestone for Your Journey Upon completion of the program, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. This certificate serves as a meaningful reminder of the intentional work you’ve put into your foundation and can be kept as a keepsake of your first formal step toward a lifelong partnership.

Marital Therapies
Relationships often face moments of profound uncertainty where the 'right' choice feels out of reach. Our specialized counselling offers a structured, supportive space to illuminate your path and move from confusion to conviction.
Infidelity Counselling
Discovering or disclosing an affair can shake a relationship to its very core. Feelings of betrayal, anger, grief, confusion, and fear often surface all at once. For many couples, it can feel like the ground has been pulled out from under them. In this painful and uncertain time, having the right support can make all the difference.
We offer a safe, non-judgmental space where both partners can share openly, be heard, and begin to make sense of what has happened. Using the Gottman Couple Therapy approach, we guide you through meaningful conversations that address not only the affair itself, but also the deeper emotional needs, patterns, and challenges that may have existed before it occurred.
Our work together focuses on: Rebuilding trust, strengthening communication, processing emotion, reconnecting emotionally and physically & developing healthy coping strategies.
Infidelity does not automatically mean the end of a relationship. With courage, commitment, and guided support, many couples are able to move through the pain, understand each other more deeply, and build a relationship that is stronger and more fulfilling than before.

Brainspotting Therapy
Click here to find out more about Brainspotting
https://brainspotting.com/about-brainspotting/what-is-brainspotting/
What is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on the brain-body connection. It was developed by Dr. David Grand, a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, in 2003. The therapy is based on the idea that our eyes can reveal the location of unprocessed trauma or emotional pain in the brain. By using eye movements to target these “brainspots,” therapists can help individuals release their emotions and heal.
One of the key differences between brainspotting therapy and traditional talk therapy is that brainspotting is less focused on verbal communication. Instead, it relies on the body’s innate ability to heal itself. This means that individuals don’t need to have a specific problem in mind when they come to therapy. Instead, they can let their bodies guide the healing process.
Brainspotting is a powerful, focused treatment method that works by identifying, processing and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain, trauma, dissociation and a variety of other challenging symptoms. Brainspotting is a simultaneous form of diagnosis and treatment, enhanced with bilateral sound, which is deep, direct, and powerful yet focused and containing.
Brainspotting functions as a neurobiological tool to support the clinical healing relationship. There is no replacement for a mature, nurturing therapeutic presence and the ability to engage another suffering human in a safe and trusting relationship where they feel heard, accepted, and understood.
Brainspotting Therapy uses bilateral stimulation to activate the limbic system, helping individuals release stored emotions.
Brainspotting is a versatile and deeply transformative tool that benefits individuals navigating a wide range of emotional and physiological challenges. It is particularly effective for those who feel "stuck" in traditional talk therapy, as it bypasses the analytical mind to access the subcortical brain where trauma and stress are often held. This approach is highly beneficial for individuals recovering from PTSD or complex trauma, those struggling with anxiety, depression, or chronic pain, and even performers or athletes looking to overcome mental blocks and enhance their peak performance. By identifying the physiological "brainspots" associated with internal distress, this therapy allows anyone seeking profound emotional regulation and lasting healing to process experiences at their very core.

Rewire Your Resilience: Moving Beyond the Memories That Bind You

Who will benefit from EMDR?
EMDR is highly effective for anyone whose past experiences continue to negatively impact their present-day life. It is widely recognized for its success in treating:
Trauma and PTSD: Individuals dealing with "Big T" traumas (like accidents or abuse) or "Small t" traumas (such as difficult breakups or workplace bullying).
Anxiety and Panic: Those experiencing generalized anxiety, phobias, or sudden panic attacks rooted in past events.
Depression: People struggling with persistent low mood or negative self-beliefs (e.g., "I am not enough") that stem from earlier life experiences.
Grief and Loss: Individuals finding it difficult to move forward after the death of a loved one or a significant life transition.
Performance Blocks: Professionals, athletes, and creatives looking to overcome mental hurdles and performance-related stress.
Chronic Pain: Patients where emotional distress or past trauma exacerbates physical symptoms.
Understanding EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help the brain process traumatic or distressing memories. Unlike traditional talk therapy, which focuses on verbalizing experiences, EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation—typically through guided eye movements, taps, or tones. This process mimics the natural brain activity that occurs during REM sleep, helping to "unlock" memories that have been stuck in the nervous system and reprocess them so they no longer trigger intense emotional or physical distress.
Supporting Other Counsellors
At Quest Counselling, we offer two essential services designed specifically for counsellors: Supervision and Counselling for Counsellors.
Together, these services at Quest Counselling cultivate a holistic approach to mental health, ensuring that those who care for others also receive the care and support they need.
Counselling for Counsellors
Our Counselling for Counsellors service offers a safe space for mental health professionals to process their own experiences, challenges, and emotions. This service emphasizes the importance of self-care, allowing counsellors to recharge and rejuvenate so they can continue to serve their clients with clarity and compassion.

Counselling Supervision
Our Supervision service provides a structured and supportive environment where counsellors can reflect on their practice, receive feedback, and enhance their professional skills. Led by experienced supervisors, this service not only aids in skill development but also fosters a sense of connection and community among peers.
